Alcohol ‘ruled out’ of single-vehicle crash on Canal Road

Incident happened near the Holland River in Bradford Wednesday at around 8 p.m.

Emergency crews were on scene following a crash on Canal Road in Bradford Wednesday night.

A Bradford man has been charged with careless driving after his vehicle allegedly struck a guardrail on Canal Road Wednesday night.

At around 8 p.m., emergency crews responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on the road, near the Holland River. 

“Officers … found the driver with injuries related to the crash,” South Simcoe Police Service Sgt. David Phillips told BradfordToday and InnisfilToday. “The investigation ruled out alcohol.”

The driver, 55, was also handed an administrative charge for failing to update his address.
