'Awesome memories': Hundreds show up for Cake with the Bunny

'The kiddos had a blast helping the bunny find all his eggs,' says event organizer

About 200 children 'hopped' out Sunday to take part in Cake with the Bunny at the Innisfil Lions Hall.

Put on by founders of Dream Parties, Reena Tagger-Saint Louis, and Innisfil Backyard Bounce, Justyna Truskolaski, the event included storytelling, an egg hunt game, face-painting, balloon twists, and goodie bags.

"The kiddos had a blast helping the bunny find all his eggs," said Truskolaski.

"It was a great event. We were able to make some awesome memories for the little ones while providing volunteer opportunities for our local youth," added Tagger-Saint Louis.

In addition to Cake with the Bunny the pair is planning other events like dance parties for teens, movie and bingo events, and camps during school breaks.

They will be forming a Youth Committee, which will invite youth in Simcoe County to have their say.

”We really want to get the youth involved, this is just as much their community as it is all ours,” Truskolaski previously told InnisfilToday. “We would love to get their opinions and pick their brains on what they would like to see happening."

"We are looking forward to continuing to bring these types of events to our community," said Tagger-Saint Louis.
