Signs pointed the way to the Innisfil Pride free Community Christmas Dinner.

Innisfil Pride is looking for volunteers and donations for their second annual Christmas dinner.

The dinner will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Grange Hall in Lefroy at 931 Church St.

The Hall has once again graciously donated their space for the dinner.

And new this year: a toy drive!

As per COVID restrictions, the dinner will be served take-out style.

"We believe that regardless of a person's situation, no one should go without a meal on any day or night; if we can at least help during the holidays, folks still know that others are willing to help," said Innisfil Pride's Jake Tucker. "Innisfil is a close community of friends and family and we all work hard to give a hand to one another."

The organization is still looking for a few extra hands to help out at the event, as well as the following donation items:

Food: turkeys, ham, potatoes, carrots, dinner rolls, cranberries and pie

Toys: gender-neutral, culturally appropriate gifts or gift cards

Clothes: for children of all ages, blankets, jackets, hats and gloves

Anyone looking to donate or volunteer, please send an email to [email protected]
