The Color Red, a new novel by Georgian Bay author Andy Potter, revolves around a wealthy man with a conscience. The majority of murders hinge on money. In a word, greed. In The Color Red, the main murderee, Rollo Novak, is killed because of his renunciation of money, his anti-greed.

Here’s a short overview of the novel from Georgian Bay author Ken Haigh: “When Detective Ivy Bourque finds Rollo Novak and his wife hanging at their Cape Cod villa, she suspects a double homicide. But who’s the culprit: the ex-wife, the disinherited son, the wife's criminal family, a business rival, or does the motive go back to Novak's troubled youth in the former Yugoslavia?

"Author Potter keeps us guessing until the final chapter in this well-plotted clever mystery, the first in what I hope will be a long series featuring Detective Bourque. In Bourque, former undercover cop turned detective, Potter has created a smart and savvy protagonist. Highly recommended.”

Publishers Weekly, an international authority on new books, has also reviewed the book. Here a snippet: “Impressive series launch. Fans of intelligent procedurals will hope for a long series run.”
