Open Air Dunlop is coming in hot again this Saturday.
For a 12th consecutive Saturday, Dunlop Street will be closed to motorized transportation and open to roam by foot with lots to see and do.
Urban Sketching with Spare Room Barrie is back again. Drop by Meridian Place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to try your hand at drawing. All ages and abilities are welcome. All materials provided.
Pets and Pilates returns. Join Kelly Patterson McGrath, a certified pilates teacher, in front of the Flying Monkeys. Bring your mat and well-behaved dog from 9 to 9:45 a.m. for this fun movement class.
Yoga in the Square — Join Nook Yoga near the cenotaph from 10 to 11 a.m. and find your ‘zen.’ Don’t forget to bring your mat.
Collage Party with the MacLaren Art Centre — Regional artist Angela Aujla will lead participants in creating a vibrant collage that represents themselves using a variety of found text and image in the form of an artwork or a mailable art postcard. Find her set up at the intersection of Dunlop and Mulcaster streets from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m.
West End Family Fun — Located across from the Pratt Homes Theatre enjoy free face painting and access to fun interactive games and inflatables. Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for lots of family fun in the west end.
West End Art Activity with Days Eye Ceramics — Hosted by Heather this Saturday, come play with clay. She'll be set up on Dunlop Street West near Mexhico Restaurant from 12 till 4 p.m. All ages and abilities are welcome. All materials provided.
Live music with Emerging Artists Showcase — This year marks the fourth annual live showcase of Barrie talent at the Meridian Place Stage. Opening act kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Showcase runs from 7 until 10 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks as desired, or enjoy a dinner at one of the local patios and restaurants prior to the show.
Be sure to be on the lookout for stilt walkers and jugglers roaming Dunlop Street for your amusement.
Of course, our local businesses will be open to welcome you to browse and shop at your leisure.
