Police seek assistance locating missing Alliston man (update: located)

Update:
A 60-year old man, reported missing earlier this week in the New Tecumseth area, has been located safe.

The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to thank the public for any tips and information that was shared.

TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ADJALA-TOSORONTIO AND ESSA TOWNSHIPS - The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is requesting the public's assistance in locating 60-year-old Micheal Crate of Alliston, New Tecumseth.

Crate was last seen by a family member on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 in the New Tecumseth area.

Crate is described as Caucasian, 5'11", approximately 150 pounds, thin build, brown short cut hair, with a goatee which was greying. He was Last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue faded jean jacket, and cowboy boots.

Michael was last seen driving a 2007 Honda Accord bearing Ontario marker BXZB070. Police believe he may have recently been in the Ottawa area.

Police are concerned for the safety and well-being of the missing male and are requesting anyone with information of his whereabouts to contact the OPP at or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
