*****************************
On Friday, May 26, nearly 300 students with special education needs from secondary schools across the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) are expected to gather at Innisdale Secondary School for the Special Education County Class Prom.

This special event for students from the SCDSB’s Life Skills, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Centre classes will provide students an opportunity to celebrate with music, dancing, snacks, and photo booth fun! Participants are invited to dress to feel their best as they celebrate all of their accomplishments this school year.

Planning for the Special Education County Class Prom is a partnership between a committee of staff, students, and the Innisdale Grade 12 Leadership class.

The Special Education County Class Prom will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Innisdale Secondary School, which is located at 95 Little Ave., in Barrie.

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, and community.
