Roy Collart, 70, of Barrie, passed away suddenly but peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Roy was such a light in this sometimes-dark world and will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

He was born to Alfred Collart and Anna Hudson on September 13, 1951, in Sudbury, Ontario. Roy lived in many cities but was raised mostly in Toronto. Barrie was the place Roy loved the most and called home.

Roy was a dedicated employee at the Holiday Inn for many years taking on various roles, and always took great pride in his work. When Roy retired, he devoted his time to care for his brother Kim and Mother.

Roy is survived by his Mother Anna, brothers Glenn (Cathie), Maurice, Kim, and his many nieces and nephews.

Roy is now at peace, joining his Dad Alfred, brother Barry (Nancy), sister Brenda where we are certain they will be eating endless bags of chips and drinking all the Pepsi his heart desires.

Roy loved his family so much and always told us in the many phone calls he would make daily.

We will miss these phone calls and quirky requests he would always make but mostly we will miss Roy. He truly was one of a kind.

Until we meet again.

Condolences may be forwarded to the family through www.legacyfuneral.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Legacy Funeral Home, Barrie, Ontario.
