GIBBONS, Doug

Passed away at Mariposa House Hospice, Severn, on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the age of 70. Doug, beloved husband of Jackie and devoted father of Amy Watton (Chris) of Fort McMurray, Heather Gibbons (Greg Cholkan) of Huntsville, and Colin Gibbons (Danielle) of Chatsworth. Proud grandpa of Aiden Watton and Owen Gibbons. Cherished son of the late Stanley and Marion Gibbons. Dear brother of Davis Gibbons (Brenda Fields), Cynthia Wood (Dale), and Ruth Ann Grant (Andrew). Treasured brother-in-law and friend, caring uncle of dozens of nieces and nephews, and passionate teacher to countless students. Doug was most at home in the outdoors and nature, an avid carpenter, and possessed a spirited love of music. A life-long Leafs fan and could never say no to an apple pie. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Doug's Life will be held on Friday, May 27th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Port Sydney Community Hall, in Port Sydney, Ontario. Speeches will begin at 6:00pm. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
