It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald “Don” G. Hatchard, peacefully at home in Barrie, Ontario on Friday, June 19, 2020. Survived by his beloved wife Nancy Hatchard (nee Vavala).
Predeceased by his mother Georgina Reinhart (nee Ray) and stepdad John Reinhart. Leaving behind his brother William Reinhart, uncle Dennis Ray (Helen), step children Paul Filice (Rose) and Jim Filice (Michelle), and cherished grandchildren Michael, Nicholas and Coleson to whom he was lovingly known as “Grandpa Don”. He will also be missed greatly by his brothers-in-law Ralph Vavala (Enza) and Tony Vavala (Teresa), along with his many nieces, nephews and cousins. His sense of humour, storytelling and commitment to making life happier for everyone around him, will forever be missed.
