It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Sharkey (nee Foster) on Friday, November 13, 2020. She passed peacefully at her home after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Anne was a strong and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was generous with her time and kind of heart. Anne’s happiest memories were spending time with family, friends and travelling. She will always be remembered for her sense of humour, giving nature, strong will and spirit.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Carrie and Robin, and their spouses, Andrew and Troy. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Olivia, Owen and Hensley. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband Paul Sharkey, and her caring parents Leslie and Edith Foster.
Visitation will be held in memory of Anne on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 10:00am - 12:45pm at Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil, ON. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bolton, with a small private ceremony for immediate family. In Lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Anne to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, www.crohnsandcolitis.ca .
Public Health Regulations restrict the number of guests. Please be patient, observe physical distancing and face coverings are required inside the building. We ask that you not linger on the property after you have exited the building. Face coverings are also required at the Cemetery.
