May 3, 1966 – Feb. 22, 2023
Passed away from Alzheimer’s on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, just after 2:00 p.m. Beautiful daughter of Tom (predeceased 2008) and Elaine Spencer of Barrie, Ontario. Leaving to mourn her loss are her brothers Kevin (Sheila), Paul (Melanie), and her two precious nephews Willem and Logan. She will be fondly remembered by her Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jack.
Karen will also be missed by Cristina (her high school friend), Blair and their two boys, Ben, and Jake; and Trisha and Robert, another longtime friend. Predeceased by her many aunts and uncles - Marrian (Tom), Bernice (Alex), Ross, Eldon (Marina), Morris, Marina, Kathryn, and Gary; and survived by Gail (Gary) and Marjorie (Morris), and many first and second cousins.
Karen was interested in a varied number of activities, but the ones she liked the most were volunteering for the Special Olympics and Big Sisters.
A grateful thanks to the staff at Owen Hill Care Community for the past year for their constant care. The ladies loved her smile and laugh and especially her beautiful skin, and they could not believe she had Alzheimer’s.
She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Memorial donations to a charity of choice in Karen’s name would be appreciated.
