On Monday, May 3, 2021 at approximately 7 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to the intersection of 20th Sideroad and 7th Line for a fail to remain collision.
Once on scene, police learned that a vehicle had been rear-ended at the intersection and the suspect vehicle left the scene. Investigation led police to a nearby address where a man was arrested.
Twenty-seven-year-old Ryan Walker of Innisfil was charged with failure to stop after accident, fail to report accident, driving while under suspension, and breach of probation order. The accused was released with a future court date.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
