NEWS RELEASE
SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE SERVICE
*************************
On Saturday, July 11, 2020, around 11:30 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer responded to a driving complaint in the Highway 89 and Highway 400 area of Innisfil.

When the officer arrived, an Ontario Provincial Police officer was conducting a traffic stop of the vehicle in question. The SSPS officer assisted with the investigation and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside screening device test. He was transported to North Division where breath test readings were over the legal limit.

27-year-old Boris Aguiluz of Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired and over 80.  His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

If you plan to party then we urge you to also plan your ride. Every time drivers choose to get behind the wheel while impaired, they're not only risking their own life, but the lives of others. Do the right thing for road safety and prevent tragedies. Always drive sober.
