Fail-to-remain crash leaves man, 70, with serious injuries

Collision occurred following Saturday night's Barrie Colts game in the city's south end

A failure-to-remain collision on Saturday left a 70-year-old man with serious injuries and Barrie police searching for the culprit.

The incident occurred just before 10 p.m., Nov. 12, near Sadlon Arena on Bayview Drive after the Barrie Colts game.

According to Barrie police communication co-ordinator Peter Leon, the man was hit and by a vehicle as he crossed from the Sadlon Arena “possibly to a parking lot across at Park Place and was struck by a vehicle that did not remain.”

The man was transported to a Toronto-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with dash-cam footage or with information is asked to contact police.
