A woman has been charged in connection with a theft from an Alliston grocery store last month.
On Dec. 23 at about 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a theft at FreshCo on Young Street, where a woman, described as a “frequent shopper,” had placed several items in her backpack, purchased other items in a shopping cart with a store employee debit card, and left on foot, Nottawasaga OPP said in a news release.
On Monday, a 46-year-old Alliston woman was charged with fraud under $5,000 (two counts), theft under $5,000 (shoplifting) and theft under $5,000. She was released from custody and has a Feb. 20 court date in Bradford.
