Innisfil man accused of stealing, trafficking goods from construction sites

The 38-year-old was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and trafficking stolen goods

NOTTAWASAGA OPP – As a result of a joint investigation in relation to thefts and break and enters at various construction sites within Simcoe County a male person has been arrested.   

A joint investigation, including members of the Ontario Provincial Police, Nottawasaga Detachment, South Simcoe Police and Barrie Police Street Crime Units, executed a search warrant at an Innisfil address.  

The male person, Mariano Dinardo, age 38, of Innisfil, Ontario, was arrested on Nov. 19, 2020, and is facing the following criminal charges:  

  • Theft under $5,000 - Criminal Code of Canada 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00 - Criminal Code of Canada 
  • Trafficking in stolen goods under $5,000, Criminal Code of Canada     

The accused has been released on an undertaking, with a court date of Dec. 17, 2020.
