On Sunday, August 3, 2020, at approximately 9 a.m., a member of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police, was patrolling Mill Street in the area of Brentwood Road, Angus.
The officer observed a westbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The speed of the vehicle was confirmed on radar travelling at 117 km/hr in the posted 60 km/hr speed zone.
The driver of the vehicle, Gary Roberts, age 57, of Innisfil, Ontario has been charged with stunt driving.
The vehicle has been impounded for seven days and driving privileges have been suspended for seven days. The driver will make an appearance in the Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 12, 2020.
