On Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at approximately 12:15 a.m., police responded to a citizen-initiated (call) on the 5th Sideroad in the town of Innisfil. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the ONroute on Highway 400 north of Mapleview Drive.
As a result of the investigation, 66-year-old Giuseppe Corsico of Barrie was charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol
- along with Highway Traffic Act offences including operate unsafe vehicle and use plate not authorized for vehicle.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
