Neighbour dispute results in charges

A 45-year-old man was charged with assault and uttering threats following an ongoing neighbour dispute in Innisfil.

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, around 9:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a call regarding an assault in the Yonge Street and Killarney Beach Road area.  Upon arrival, police observed a suspect being restrained by two men. Officers learned the suspect had assaulted a woman.

Two men who witnessed the assault came to the woman's aid. The men were assaulted and all three were threatened by the suspect before the two men restrained him.

45-year-old Daniel Seymour of Innisfil was charged with assault and uttering threats. He was held for a bail hearing.
