Police hope to identify Bradford grocery store purse thief

Purse was grabbed out of a cart while the victim was shopping

BRADFORD - South Simcoe Police Service officers are appealing for the public's help to solve the theft of a woman's purse.

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2020 around 3:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a grocery store near Barrie Street and 8th Line in Bradford regarding the theft of a purse. Once on scene, officers learned that a female suspect grabbed a woman's purse out of her shopping cart when the victim was looking away. The suspect quickly left the store and drove off.

Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact South Simcoe Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
