Police seek witnesses after teenage girl approached by man in a pickup truck in Bradford

South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking witnesses after a teenage girl was approached by a man in a pickup truck in Bradford.  

The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Line 13 when the girl was approached by a man in a black pickup truck. The man tried to engage her in conversation before driving off. There was no physical contact. The truck was last seen turning southbound on Sideroad 5 from Line 13.

The man is described as black, in his 30's, bald with a goatee or beard. His vehicle is a black pickup truck.

Anyone with information, security video or dash cam video is asked to contact South Simcoe Police Service at 905-775-3311, 705-436-2141 or Crime Stoppers.

South Simcoe Police Service is reminding residents to be vigilant about their personal safety at all times and always be aware of your surroundings. Limit distractions such as texting, talking on your phone or listening to music. Don't wear headphones so you can hear what is going on around you. Carry a cell phone with you in case of an emergency. Report suspicious people or activities to police and if you have been a victim of a crime, call us.
