On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, around 1 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to reports of a man throwing a woman out of a pickup truck after assaulting her in the Yonge Street and 3rd Line area of Innisfil. The woman reportedly left on foot. Police searched the area and attended a nearby home. Police learned the woman was in a building on the property, called her to come out and she complied. The woman declined medical attention from paramedics and refused to talk to police. She was transported to North Division where she was taken into custody by another police service for an unrelated matter.
