Three from Barrie charged after stolen vehicle flees police in Alcona

INNISFIL - Three Barrie residents are facing charges following an incident in Innisfil where a stolen vehicle fled from police.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, around 7:30 a.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer attempted to stop a stolen vehicle on Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona. The vehicle fled from police, colliding with another vehicle and ramming a cruiser before coming to a stop on Webster Boulevard. Two suspects were immediately arrested at the scene. A third suspect was taken into custody a short time later after citizens spotted him in the backyard of a nearby home. Police seized drugs, including suspected crystal meth, cocaine, purple fentanyl and hash oil. No one was injured.

Barrie residents Giovanni Biancofiore, 32, Travis Robinson, 30, and April Rowley, 25, are charged with the following offences:
    •    Possession of property obtained by Crime (two counts)
    •    Flight from police
    •    Dangerous operation (two counts)
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking (four counts)

Robinson was also charged with three counts of breach of probation and two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. Rowley faces additional charges of two counts of breach of probation.
