South Simcoe Police Service officers have charged a 39-year-old woman following a head-on collision in Bradford that sent two people to hospital.

On Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at 9 a.m., police were called to Yonge Street north of the 11th Line for a report of a head-on collision involving injuries.

The investigation has determined that a southbound van crossed the centre line and travelled in the northbound lanes, causing other motorists to move onto the shoulder.

A northbound Cadillac was hit head-on by the southbound van, causing the Cadillac to strike a Kia SUV. The female driver of the van was trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle by Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services. The drivers of the van and the Cadillac were taken to hospital by County of Simcoe Paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries. No one in the Kia was hurt.

As a result of the investigation, the van driver was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.
