WATCH: Ford says no time for full long-term care inquiry 'while people are dying'

He says there isn't time for a public inquiry that could take years. He says an independent commission will be transparent

Premier Doug Ford says the long-term care situation is too urgent for a full public inquiry that could take years to come up with results.

In comments to media today, Ford defended the province's decision to instead conduct an independent non-partisan commission.

"We're not going to wait two and a half to three years for someone to tell us what the commission can tell us," said the premier.
