The following letter is in response to an article about a possible groundwater study in northern Simcoe County, published Oct. 30.

I would like to see regulations that mandate commercial/industrial water use where the water is used one time and the volume of water of over 10,000 litres, annually, be recycled and reused by the entity.

So, cap it at a quantity the hydrologists or environmental water people say is a safe number.

The technology is there, but not affordable to personal users.

The well permits for bottled water sellers is way too low, and with global warming, water levels will decline.

We must do what we can to protect our water and environment for future generations.
