The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported 146 new COVID-19 cases and one in its first report since Friday.
An Oro-Medonte man between 45 and 64 years old died on May 7. His case was not linked to any outbreaks.
There are 939 active, lab-confirmed cases in the region, most of which are in Simcoe County.
The health unit has reported 3,877 variant cases confirmed to date, with 681 of those cases still active.
Since the start of the pandemic, the local health unit has confirmed 11,062 cases of COVID-19 with 9,366 of those cases recovered and 232 cases ending in death.
There are 30 people from Simcoe County and two from Muskoka District hospitalized with COVID-19, which includes four new hospitalization since Friday
To date, 222,855 people in Simcoe-Muskoka region have received their first dose of vaccination against COVID-19, which is about 35.7 per cent of the region's population. About 3.4 per cent of the population has received two doses of vaccine.

The new cases reported in Simcoe County and Muskoka District today include (case specifics will be updated soon).
- Collingwood (3): One youth under 18 years old, one person between 18 and 34 years old, and one person between 35 and 44 years old. Two cases are linked to close contact, and one is linked to travel.
- Barrie (54): Six youth under 18 years old, 29 people between 18 and 34 years old, six people between 35 and 44 years old, nine people between 45 and 64 years old, two people between 65 and 79 years old, and two people over 79 years old. One case is outbreak-related, nine are listed as community-acquired, and 18 are linked to close contact.
- Springwater (1): One person between 45 and 64 years old whose case is linked to travel.
- Innisfil (12): Five people between 18 and 34 years old, three people between 35 and 44 years old, three people between 45 and 64 years old, and one person between 65 and 79 years old. Five are linked to close contact, two were listed as community-acquired, and one was outbreak-related.
- Bradford West Gwillimbury (35): Seven youth under 18 years old, nine people between 18 and 34 years old, six people between 35 and 44 years old, 12 people between 45 and 64 years old, and two people between 65 and 79 years old., Four cases are listed as community-acquired, one was outbreak-related, and 24 are linked to close contact.
- Orillia (4): One youth under 18 years old, one person between 35 and 44 years old, and two people between 45 and 64 years old. One case is linked to travel, one to close contact, and two are listed as community-acquired.
- Oro-Medonte (3): One youth under 18 years old, one person between 35 and 44 years old, and one person between 45 and 64 years old. All three case transmissions are reported as close contact.
- Midland (1): One person between 18 and 34 years old whose case is linked to close contact.
- Tay (1): One person between 35 and 44 years old whose case is linked to close contact.
- Tiny (4): One person between 18 and 34 years old, one person between 35 and 44 years old, one person between 45 and 64 years old, and one person between 65 and 79 years old. All four cases are linked to close contact.
- Essa (8): Two people between 18 and 34 years old, one person between 35 and 44 years old, and five people between 45 and 64 years old. Five case transmissions are listed as close contact and one as community-acquired.
- New Tecumseth (13): Four youth under 18 years old, five people between 18 and 34 years old, and four people between 45 and 64 years old. Seven case transmissions are linked to close contact and four are listed as community-acquired.
- Adjala-Tosorontio (1): One person between 35 and 45 years old whose case is listed as community-acquired.
- There are six new cases in Muskoka including four in Muskoka Lakes, one in Bracebridge, one in Huntsville
