NEWS RELEASE
BARRIE-INNISFIL MP JOHN BRASSARD

This is such a special time of year, as we make the final preparations for Christmas with family and friends.

After another busy session in the House of Commons, I am certainly looking forward to a little down time with Liane and our kids and some opportunities to celebrate with our loved ones.

My wish for Barrie-Innisfil this Christmas is that everyone has a chance to get together with friends or family and enjoy some laughs and special moments.

Sadly, I know that there are a growing number of people in our community who are suffering because of the cost of living and inflation. The anxiety and uncertainty that so many are feeling as we look ahead to 2023 is very troubling and I can tell you that finding solutions for this crisis will continue to be my priority in the new year.

We are blessed to live in a very kind and caring community. I see this every single day with so many individuals, charities, churches and other organizations working hard to help those in need. The kindness and caring spirit means so much and it gives people hope.

To those who have given their time and cash to our community this Christmas, I thank you for caring for our children, friends and neighbours and for making the holidays a little happier everyone. Your kindness and good will bring hope at a time when we need it the most.

On behalf of Liane and our children Jeff, Court, Matt and Mitch and, of course, our dog Molly, I wish you and your family a merry Christmas and a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Also, thank you to everyone who volunteered this holiday season. I was happy to spend a few hours over the holidays manning the kettle at the Big Bay Point Zehrs in Barrie after returning home from Ottawa, to help the Salvation Army Barrie Bayside Mission Centre raise funds for people in need this Christmas in Barrie-Innnisfil.
