Everyone throughout the community is invited to a thought-provoking discussion about the existence of God, with scholars from various religions and philosophies including, Islam, Christianity and Judaism. It runs Oct. 29, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., and the address is 4073 4th Line.

Registrants will enjoy a free dinner and are encouraged to ask questions of the panellists during the designated question-and-answer session.

“The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at is grateful for the opportunity to host this symposium and give local residents an opportunity to come together for mutual dialogue,” said Hassaan Shahid, member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Innisfil. “The objective of the event is to promote interfaith respect, harmony, inclusiveness and diversity. It aims to inculcate mutual understanding and respect between different faith traditions and philosophies of the world."

Shahid told InnisfilToday that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at hosts various interfaith events throughout Canada, and plans to run these types of gatherings in Innisfil on an ongoing basis.

“The event aims to explore the teachings and practices of different religious and philosophical traditions, with the hope that such mutual exploration will encourage better understanding and promote harmonious co-existence amongst Canadians,” he said.
