Cookstown BOOnanza

The Cookstown and District Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Cookstown BOOnanza Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get your costumes out, come meet the village merchants and collect some treats. Adults, join the BOOnanza Witch Hunt. Collect stickers from participating businesses to be entered to win some fabulous prizes. For more information, email [email protected] or visit cookstownchamber.ca.

Community Access Networking

Hey Bradford, come meet your mayor, deputy mayor and other members of council at an informal meeting at Fire Station 1, 77 Melbourne Dr., on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. Community Access Networking is an initiative established by council, providing residents the opportunity to participate in a relaxed, friendly and informal environment where they can ask questions, raise issues and share ideas. Although the events have been designed to highlight one ward per meeting, residents can attend any meeting date of their choosing. Registration is not required and these events are intended to be open house and drop-in style.

Trick-or-treat on the promenade

Bring your family to celebrate Halloween with a day of fun and trick-or-treating along the Friday Harbour promenade Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. To get more details, email [email protected] or visit fridayharbour.com
