Humbug: Alleged vandal cuts cords to Christmas decorations

South Simcoe police are searching for the “Grinch” who vandalized a Christmas display in Bradford West Gwillimbury Tuesday morning.

On Dec. 19 at about 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a call regarding property damage at a home near the Line 6 and Melbourne Drive intersection. Once on scene, police found electrical cords connected to Christmas decorations and lights on the front lawn had been cut.

This apparent vandalism likely occurred sometime earlier in the day, probably between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m., police say.

“Police are appealing to anyone with information, dash camera or security camera footage that can assist the investigation, to contact the South Simcoe Police Service or Crime Stoppers,” a media release states.
