Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is back, just in time for spring.

From April 29 to May 5 stop by and purchase Tim Hortons Smile Cookies, with 100 per cent of the sales going to local charities. Last year, Tim Hortons guests helped raise a record-breaking $19.7 million through the annual Smile Cookie campaign.

This year, the owners of the Tim Hortons locations in Cookstown and Thornton are generously supporting Innisfil ideaLAB & Library and Essa Public Library by donating the proceeds from every freshly baked chocolate chunk Smile Cookie purchased to support our local libraries. Guests can support a local charity or community group by purchasing Smile Cookies or one of four adorable Smile Cookie personality pins: the Loopy, Bugsy, Starry and Squirmy Smile Cookie pins. Guests can visit their local Tim Hortons or place an order through the Tim Hortons mobile app for delivery. Guests can also ask for a bulk order form at their local Tim Hortons restaurant for larger pre-orders.

To participate in this year’s Smile Cookie campaign, and support the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Cookstown branch, and the Essa Public Library, Thornton branch, please visit the following locations:

  • Tim Hortons Thornton, 4191 Innisfil Beach Rd.
  • Tim Hortons Cookstown, 48 Queen St.
  • Tanger Outlets Tim Hortons Cookstown, 3311 Simcoe Rd. 89

Innisfil ideaLAB & Library CEO Erin Scuccimarri expressed her gratitude about partnering with Tim Hortons for this year’s Smile Cookie campaign.

“Once again, we are ecstatic that our library has been selected by our local Tim Hortons restaurants. Support raised from Smile Cookies allows us to do even more for our community, and that’s something that makes us smile.”

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support for our Thornton branch,” said Laura Wark, CEO of Essa Public Library. “With heartfelt appreciation, we encourage the community to participate in the Smile Cookie campaign, as your support has and will continue to help us create a welcoming space with valuable programs and offerings for our community.”

With the funds raised being shared between the Cookstown branch of the Innisfil IdeaLAB & Library and the Thornton branch of the Essa Public Library, both agree that the Smile Cookie campaign is a great example of how a small donation can make a big difference in the community.

The first Smile Cookie campaign launched in 1996, originally raising funds for Hamilton Children’s Hospital. Since then, the annual charitable campaign has raised a total of more than $111 million across Canada and the United States for charities and organizations. Recipients include local hospitals, community care organizations, food banks and schools.
