Snow squall watch issued for:
   Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region, Ont. (043220)
   Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale, Ont. (044130)
   Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County, Ont. (046220)
   Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus, Ont. (046510)

Current details:
Snow squalls expected Wednesday.

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm.
Significantly reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.

Timing:
Wednesday

Discussion:
Lake effect snow squalls are expected to develop late tonight or early Wednesday morning. These snow squalls will continue into Wednesday afternoon before weakening by Wednesday evening.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
