The Barrie District Stamp Club (est: 1960) held its 60th Annual Stamp Show and Bourse (Philatelic Vendor) on October 21, 2023 at the Innisfil-Stroud Community Centre.  With eight vendors from across Ontario, it provided a venue that brought together local members as well as 60-75 people came throughout the day to buy, review collections and seek out unique stamps of the World.

Additionally, several Club members and affiliated philatelists from the Owen Sound Stamp Club participated in displaying exhibits of their collections.  Topics such as, Canada's Group of Seven, Berlin Airlift (06/1948-09/1949), Canada's Victoria Cross recipients (Canada’s Valour), Allied Offensive (WWII), Calla Lily Definitives, Owen Sound Fancy Cancellations and F1-Gilles Villeneuve (1997 & 2017).  These collections required hours of research, typesetting, and visual display within large picture-type frames.  They were judged by an accredited official from the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada and displays were awarded ribbons of merit based on points.  All of the above selectively received: Gold, Vermeil and/or Silver ribbons. The Michael Millar Novice Award was presented by: Ellen Millar to Barrie District Stamp Club member, Rob Clarke (Villeneuve entry). Ellen is the daughter of Michael Millar, one of the founding members of the Barrie District Stamp Club.
