There are three new health and wellness businesses ready to serve residents inside the Rizzardo Health and Wellness Centre in Innisfil.
Innisfil Endoscopy, Myo Dynamics and Health Hub Phrarmacy recently moved into the complex and were delighted to welcome community members to their official grand opening ceremonies on Monday afternoon.
Mayor Lynn Dollin said she was proud to have one facility offering such a full range of medical services.
“It’s been a long time coming but now we have a one-stop shop that our constituents can attend the same day," she said.
Councillors Rob Nicol, Donna Orsatti and MP John Brassard representative, Jennifer Richardson were also in attendance to give their best wishes and congratulations.
The first ribbon-cutting ceremony and special prayer were conducted by Pastor Howard Courtney from Innisfil Community Church for the new Innisfil Endoscopy Suite, owned by Dr. Samuel Ogunbiyi a general, breast and oncoplastic surgeon.
“Getting tested for colon cancer is very treatable if detected early," said Dr. Ogunbiyi, who encouraged general checkups.
Myo Dynamics is owned by Dan and Michelle Steffens. This is their second location specializing in physiotherapy, chiropractic, and massage. They also offer orthotics and bracing.
This location actually opened in August 2020, however, due to the pandemic they never had a chance to host their official opening.
Health Hub Pharmacy is owned by Simon McKay who also has a second pharmacy in Stroud. This new location actually opened in September 2020 but also never had an official opening due to the pandemic.
Besides selling pharmacy-related products and prescriptions McKay points out, “We have administered many vaccines and we may be able to treat certain illnesses starting this January which is totally new to the pharmacy area. We are very excited about this potential opportunity!”
