The Barrie Baycats will play the Kitchener Panthers in the second round of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) playoffs.
The best-of-five series gets underway on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Kitchener, followed Game 2 on Sunday at Vintage Throne Stadium at the Barrie Community Sports Complex in Midhurst, beginning at 3:05 p.m.
The Baycats, who dispatched the Hamilton Cardinals in four games in the first round, come into the second-round series as the third seed, while Kitchener is the second seed.
The Panthers defeated the London Majors, 5-4, on Thursday night to advance.
The rest of the second-round schedule for the Baycats-Panthers is as follows:
Game 3: Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Kitchener, 7:30 p.m.
* Game 4: Wednesday, Sept. 6 at Barrie, 7:35 p.m.
* Game 5: Thursday, Sept. 7 at Kitchener; 7:30 p.m.
