Joe peacefully, and surrounded by family passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Hospice Simcoe.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail (née Casselman) of 63 years; daughters, Lorelei (Mike), Cheryl, and Darlene (Mark); grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer), Shannon, Brett and Conner; and great-granddaughter, Hazel. Joe will be missed dearly by his sister, Dorothy (Brian), many nieces and nephews, and extended family. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Armand Larabie and Nellie Adrick, and by brother, John (Lynn) and sisters, Mary (Dave) and Helen.
Joe was a long-time employee of the federal government. He was an avid sportsman playing hockey, many rounds of golf and fishing. At age 50, Joe took up dancing and enjoyed many years doing so with his wife Gail.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held in Ottawa at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society (Dementia) would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through adamsfuneralhome.ca.
