Peacefully with his wife and children at his side after a brief illness at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, John passed away at the age of 77 on April the 25th, 2024.
Loving husband to Brenda of 55 years, dearest Dad to Jason (Lori) and Megan (Aaron); Special “G-Papa” to Jackson, Grandfather to Andrew (Christine) and Great-Grandfather to James. Cherished big brother to Danny (Mari-Joh), Allan (Pat), Michael (Sharon) and Craig. Pre-deceased by his father Jack and mother Pauline.
He will be missed dearly by his many friends.
John was an avid supporter of local stock car racing and when not volunteering at the local tracks or participating with his son could be found perched on his lawn chair as a spectator in his favourite spot in corner 4 at the 2 local speedways during summertime Saturday nights. His corner 4 friends will miss his enthusiasm for the sport.
At Johns request he has been cremated and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in his memory.
A very special thanks to Dr. Doug Austgarden and all the nurses who took such good care of John.
