Police responded to three collisions Saturday in Innisfil, all of which resulted in impaired driving charges.
The South Simcoe Police Service responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. to a crash involving two vehicles and a hydro pole on Yonge Street, south of Innisfil Beach Road. A 19-year-old from Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol) and dangerous operation. The accused and two people in the other vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At about 7 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on the 5th Line, west of Sideroad 10. A 40-year-old Barrie man was charged with impaired operation by drug and possession of drugs. He was not injured.
At about 5:30 p.m., police responded to another report of a vehicle in a ditch, this time in the area of 10 Sideroad and the 2nd Line. A 67-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol). She was not injured.
