Arrest made after Bradford wedding guests threatened with knife: Police

BRADFORD - On Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 just after 3 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to the Simcoe Road and Walker Avenue area of Bradford for an offensive weapon call.  

The caller reported that a man with a knife had threatened a group of people at a wedding. Police located a suspect at a nearby home where he was arrested without incident and transported to South Division.  

Sixty-five-year-old Edwin McCrudden of Bradford was charged with possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.

He was released with conditions and a future court date  No one was injured in the incident.
