Fire crews worked to extricate the driver following a single-vehicle crash in Bradford May 2.

The driver of a vehicle that crashed into a hydro pole in Bradford earlier this month has died.

South Simcoe police are still investigating the incident, nearly three weeks after it occurred near the 10th Sideroad and 5th Line intersection.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on May 2 at about 2 p.m. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 40-year-old Barrie man, required extrication and was then transported to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket in serious condition.

On May 16, police were notified the driver had died.
