Barrie police will be remaining tight-lipped with details involving an incident in the city’s southwest end this morning.
Although officials did confirm police were at a scene located on Salem Road east of Veterans Drive, no further details will be released.
“It’s isolated in nature and one we won’t be doing a media release (for) or speaking to,” Peter Leon, the department’s communication’s coordinator, said Friday morning.
"There are some underlying circumstances regrettably regarding it," he added. "We will be there as long as we need to be, but it shouldn’t be too much longer.”
A police forensics team could be seen taking photographs of a property adjacent to Salem as well as an abandoned white vehicle surrounded with police tape.
