Barrie police say a woman suffered serious injuries and is in non-life-threatening condition after a "reported" shooting Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to Lakeshore Mews, an area near Dunlop and Mulcaster streets at the city's waterfront, around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 24.
Police have said the 59-year-old victim was airlifted to a Toronto hospital.
No information has been released regarding any arrests or suspects.
"There is no risk to public safety," police said in a news release Saturday morning.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
"Further details will be provided as the investigation permits," police say.
