A 28-year-old Innisfil man has been charged with flight from a peace officer and dangerous operation of a vehicle following an incident on Saturday night.

Barrie police conducted a traffic stop on Bayfield Street at Rose Street.

“It involved a motor vehicle investigation, where police tried to stop a vehicle earlier in the evening and it was observed exiting at Bayfield Street just before midnight,” said Peter Leon, Barrie Police Service corporate communications co-ordinator.

“Two males were arrested and held for bail.”

Police also charged the Innisfil man with unauthorized plates and driving while under suspension.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Barrie court on March 11.
