Three people have been charged in relation to three incidents in Georgina last month.

Just after 2 a.m. on May 23, York Regional Police responded to a weapons call at a residence on Lake Drive South. The caller said two people were trying to enter the residence and had fired shots at the home. The suspects were not able to enter the residence and they fled on foot before police arrived.

On May 28 at about 5:40 p.m., police responded to reports of the sound of a gunshot near the Queensway South and Morton Avenue in Keswick. Officers learned the two victims were in a vehicle and had noticed a vehicle following them. The suspects fired a shot at the victims’ vehicle, but no one was hurt.

At about 12:40 a.m. on May 29, officers responded to a condo building on the Queensway South for another weapons call after a suspect entered an apartment with a handgun. Police arrived, arrested the suspect and seized a handgun. The main suspect has been linked to a home invasion and robbery.

Ryan Green, 30, of Georgina, has been charged in relation to all three incidents. Charges include attempt to commit murder using a firearm, robbery, and numerous weapon charges.

Holly Draper, 22, of Coldwater, has been charged with several offences including attempt to commit murder using a firearm. Those charges are in relation to the first incident only.

Bree-Anne Scholz, 29, of Georgina, has been charged with robbery using a firearm in relation to the home invasion.

Police believe the incidents were targeted and say there is no concern for public safety.
