Crash leads to impaired charge for Innisfil driver

No injuries were reported in the crash but a 27-year-old man is facing multiple charges after failing to remain at the crash

Earlier this month, an Innisfil driver was charged after an evening crash.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on April 6, police responded to a report of a crash on Innisfil Beach Road in Innisfil.

No injuries were reported in the crash, which police said was a rear-end, fail-to-remain.

Further investigation by officers led to charges for the driver.

Jacob Winder, 27, of Innisfil was charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol, fail to remain, fail to surrender insurance card and fail to surrender permit for vehicle.

A Saturday-afternoon crash has led to an impaired driving charge for a Bradford driver.

At approximately 2:10 p.m. Saturday, officers with the South Simcoe Police Service responded to a crash at the intersection of Aishford Road and Trailside Drive.

Justin Fagan, 50, of Bradford has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while prohibited as a result.

No injuries were reported.

Both drivers had their licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
