A single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning has led to charges being laid against an Innisfil man.
On Jan. 28 at about 1:55 a.m., South Simcoe police responded to a collision on Innisfil Beach Road near the 20th Sideroad. An investigation determined a vehicle was allegedly travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it struck the centre median, lost control and crashed into a utility pole. The driver, who was not injured, was placed under arrest.
As a result of an investigation, a 45-year-old man was charged with operation while impaired, and operation while impaired — excess blood alcohol. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven.
