Driving complaint leads to impaired charges for Oshawa woman, 78

An Oshawa woman has been charged with impaired driving after police responded to a report of a vehicle being driven "erratically" Saturday afternoon in Innisfil.

At around 3:20 p.m., Sept. 9, South Simcoe police were called to the area of Big Bay Point Road and 20th Sideroad.

Police say officers located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Annamaria Horvath, 78, of Oshawa, has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and driving without a validated permit. Her driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
