The investigation into a December fraud of an Orillia business has taken investigators to Alberta.
In December of 2023, the Orillia detachment received a call for service regarding a local business being defrauded $20,000. An investigation was conducted, and police learned the money was transferred to an account in Edmonton, Alta.
Police are now hoping someone can help them identify two suspects that withdrew the money in four separate transactions from an Edmonton bank (see photos above).
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-888-310-1122 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
